The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has extended the timeline for the Independent Investigation Committee after former Bangladesh women’s team captain Jahanara Alam, the principal complainant in the ongoing inquiry, requested additional time to submit her formal written complaint.
According to a BCB statement, Jahanara was formally asked to provide her written account to ensure a comprehensive and thorough review. She subsequently requested more time to complete and submit her statement.
As a result, the Independent Investigation Committee has been granted an extension of 15 working days, with the final report now expected by 20 December.
The BCB reaffirmed its commitment to conducting a fair, transparent, and impartial investigation, ensuring due process for all parties involved.
