Bangladesh Cricket Board has retained the same squad for the second Test against Pakistan national cricket team, scheduled to begin on 16 May at Sylhet International Cricket Stadium.

The squad was announced by the BCB in a media release on Tuesday, with no changes made from the group selected for the opening Test of the series.

Najmul Hossain Shanto will continue to lead the side, while Mehidy Hasan Miraz remains the vice-captain.

The squad includes Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Shadman Islam, Mominul Haque Showrab, Mushfiqur Rahim, Litton Kumer Das, Taijul Islam, Nayeem Hasan, Ebadot Hossain Chowdhury, Shoriful Islam, Taskin Ahmed, Nahid Rana, Tanzid Hasan and Amite Hasan.

Meanwhile, the BCB also dismissed speculation regarding a possible venue change due to weather concerns. The board confirmed that the second Test will go ahead as scheduled in Sylhet.

The unchanged squad reflects Bangladesh’s confidence in the current group ahead of the crucial Test against Pakistan.
