The Bangladesh U-19 Women’s Cricket Team is set to become the first national-level side from the country to tour China. During the historic visit, the young Tigresses will play a three-match T20 series against the hosts.
The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has announced a 14-member squad for the series. Most of the players featured in the recently concluded five-match T20 series against Pakistan U-19 Women’s Team.
Along with the main squad, four players have been named as standbys: Lima Khatun, Aakhi Akter, Rizvi Das and Jim Afrin.
The Bangladesh U-19 Women’s Team will leave for China on 15 December. After arrival, they will have a training and practice session on 16 December. The opening T20 of the series will be played on 17 December, where Bangladesh will take on China U-19 Women’s Team.
The second and third T20 matches are scheduled for 19 and 21 December, respectively. All matches of the series will be held in Hangzhou. Following the completion of the tour, the junior Tigresses are expected to return home on 22 December.
